Account Types Overview
Separate Accounts (Binance)
Binance uses separate accounts for different trading types:
- Spot Account - For spot trading
- Margin Account - For margin trading (cross or isolated)
- Futures Account - For USDT-margined futures
- Coin Futures Account - For coin-margined futures
Each account has its own balance and requires transfers between accounts.
Unified Accounts (OKX, Bybit)
OKX and Bybit use unified trading accounts:
- Single account for all trading types
- Shared collateral across products
- No transfers needed between trading types
- Cross-margin by default

- Connect your Trading Account
Security Best Practices
- Create dedicated API keys - Use separate keys for Cadenza
- Minimize permissions - Only enable required permissions
- Never enable withdrawals - Cadenza doesn't need withdrawal access
- Enable IP restrictions - Whitelist Cadenza's IP addresses
- Rotate keys regularly - Update keys every 90 days
